John Roach
In a twisted experiment gone wrong, John's metamorphosis into a cockroach catapults him into the intriguing yet perilous EntoVerse, a realm where insect civilizations clash, alliances form, and his key back to his human form depends on mastering newly acquired bug abilities and untangling the threads of a cryptic past.

This latest animation marks the kickoff for new comics and animated shorts in the John Roach series! I collaborated with a local audio engineer to create an original score, while also developing new character designs for the pilot. I applied updated lighting and camera techniques I’ve learned over the past few months to bring the story to life, all culminating in this fully animated intro.

This features our main trio of the story: John Roach, Luke Springer and Ayanna Apis as they are on their way to another adventure! I’ve timed these so that they all loop seamlessly with frames being in multiples of 3, from John Roach having 9 all the way up to Ayanna having 36! Below is the storyboard I initially came up with before finalizing the version above.
